How does it work?
Get In Touch
Start by telling me a little about what you have in mind - maybe it’s a birthday, dinner party, wedding planning session, or just an excuse to gather with friends.
We’ll chat about your group size, date, location, and any wines or regions you’re curious about. You don’t need to know much about wine (or anything at all!) — just what you enjoy.
This is your evening, so it’s all about making it work for you.
I Curate Your Wines
Once I know what you’re after, I’ll put together a line-up of usually 6 wines that fit your tastes, occasion and budget. You can expect a mix of styles - something familiar, something surprising, and maybe a bottle or two that’ll spark a good conversation. If you’d like to include food, I can suggest simple pairings to make the flavours really shine.
I personally love doing food and wine pairings, and some of my best tastings have been over a BBQ or charcuterie board!
On The Day
On the day, I arrive with all the essentials: wine, glassware, wine coolers and decanters, tasting mats, spittoons (if you want them), and printed notes for everyone. All you need is a table and comfy seats! I’ll guide you through each wine in a relaxed, interactive way - chatting about flavours, styles and what makes them special.It’s easy-going and fun; ask questions, share your thoughts, and compare what you’re tasting. There’s no right or wrong, just genuine discovery.
Think of it as an evening out, without leaving the house.
About Me
Hi, I’m Ellie - a WSET-qualified Wine Communicator based in the Surrey Hills.
My journey into wine started a little unexpectedly. After lockdown, I took a part-time job at my local bottle shop - and completely fell in love with it. I’ve always been a big foodie, so discovering how wine and food can elevate each other was a total game-changer for me.
One of my favourite parts of the job was recommending wines to customers - hearing what they were cooking, suggesting the perfect bottle, and then having them come back later to tell me how much they loved it. Knowing that one of my recommendations ended up on someone’s dinner table for a birthday, anniversary, or just a special night in honestly makes me so happy.
That’s what drives me: helping people find wines they truly enjoy, sparking curiosity, and being part of their journey as they discover new favourites. I love being there for every step - whether it’s introducing someone to their first proper glass of Pinot Noir or helping a couple choose the perfect fizz for their wedding day.
I also know how intimidating wine can seem from the outside. So many tastings that are meant to be “fun” can actually make newcomers feel out of place. I wanted to change that.
My mission is simple: to make wine approachable, engaging and genuinely enjoyable for everyone. You don’t need to come from wine or money to understand and appreciate what’s in your glass - just curiosity and an open mind.
